Pak Klok Mangrove

This is a small no-hunting area on the east coast of Phuket. Habitats include mangroves, mud flats and palm plantations. The best time to visit is a couple of hours before or after high tide when the waders are on the sand banks of the main mangrove channel.

Interesting birds in this area include Brown-winged Kingfisher, Blue-tailed Bee-eater, Common Redshank, Whimbrel and many others. An easy place to see three or more types of Kingfisher.
